            Changes to future food regulation in prospect: The Food Standards Agency Chair has published a paper ‘Regulating our Future’ setting out, albeit briefly, the Agencies plans to create a modern, risk based, proportionate, robust and resilient system in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.             ASA publishes report on addressing gender stereotyping in advertising: The Advertising Standards Authority has published research on gender stereotyping and announced that both the codes of advertising practices and its enforcement approach will focus on this topic. View

            Prices must go up if end of sale date advertised: The ASA has upheld a complaint about Laura Ashley where sale prices were further discounted or retained beyond the advertised sale end date. View

            Brexit Developments

            DEXEU Secretary of State sets out progress made at end of 2nd round of exit negotiations: David Davis indicated that no less than 96 civil servants had been in Brussels for last week’s negotiations and briefly updated on the UK position on each issue discussed. A joint technical paper was published setting out UK and EU positions on citizens' rights. View

            Food sector Brexit priorities: 26 food sector trade bodies have published an open letter setting out their priorities for Brexit. View

            EU DG Trade update on trade negotiations with Mexico and Mercosur: View

            Status of intellectual property rights: The Intellectual Property Office has published a factsheet on protection of intellectual property rights post Brexit. View
