            Brave New Law

Brave New Law is a series of explorations undertaken by DWF in collaboration with Dr Catherine McGregor. We are exploring practical ideas and help with delivering the future of law in person, virtually and via related content.

No matter which industry sector you are in, whether a big team or a small team, many of the challenges GCs face are the same.

            And they're not all new.

The challenge of doing more with less, of recruiting and motivating talent, of gaining a voice at the boardroom table, pressures to innovate and unravel the best legal tech solutions whilst running strategic projects for the company –  are all issues that have been here for some time. The solutions to these issues can be solved by collaboration and co-creation.

Over the next 12 months, we will be exploring the future of law over a series of interactive workshops – virtual & physical, articles and interviews.

Through our workshops we will create a safe space for GCs to collaborate and create tool-kits that can help you navigate some of the challenges of the future.

            Review of first workshop

"The group considered a couple of different scenarios that a GC could easily face. Key to understanding the actual 'job to be done' is identifying what is the ambition / the end goal / the definition of success. There was a passionate discussion about the importance of the GC and the legal team – instead of constantly trying to do 'more with less', GCs should be proud of the value they bring to their organisations and champion the value of the legal team."
