Andrew specialises in catastrophic injury and large loss claims, employers and public liability and motor claims and various other fields of injury related work.
Andrew handles a wide extent of injury related litigation and advises on cases ranging up to and including seven figure claims.
He regularly appears before a range of Courts and tribunals to represent litigants at hearings and interested parties at inquests. He is experienced at dealing with unopposed applications through to highly contested and sensitive cases with multiple issues and extensive documentary evidence.
Andrew mostly represents defendants in respect of casualty claims and often provides advice on strategic matters before the case comes to litigation. He has an interest in procedural rules and has given training seminars on various procedural issues.
Andrew also has experience in alternative dispute resolution including JSM's and formal Mediations. He has extensive experience of trial work along with appellate proceedings and he routinely handles costs issues following the conclusion of a case and Costs Budgeting to provide clarity as to likely insurance outlay.
Away from work Andrew enjoys reading, mostly Roman history and Shakespeare, as well as playing chess, attending the theatre and good wine. He has raised money for various charities and has completed the Oxfam Trailwalk over the South Downs Way and the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge.
