Multi-jurisdictional litigation

A banking client provides lending to high net worth individuals to purchase high value holiday homes in Europe.  The lending and security structure is complex and regularly involves offshore companies and multi-jurisdictional issues.

Our client became aware of a co-ordinated attempt to fraudulently deprive it of the value of its security and we were instructed to co-ordinate legal proceedings across the UK, the US and Europe.

The multi-jurisdictional litigation has involved obtaining injunctions and the appointment of receivers, as well as managing the bank’s US and European lawyers.
