DWF has for the second consecutive year been named in Stonewall’s Top 100 employers list 2017 which showcases the most diverse and inclusive employers in Britain for lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT) employees. DWF is again one of the highest performing law firms to make the top 100 and moves up 20 places on the list to 36th place!

DWF has been recognised for developing its extensive diversity initiatives through its partner-led diversity steering group, which highlights the firm's commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all of its people. This includes the firm’s LGBT network group, OutFront, that provides a supportive and secure environment for LGBT employees and now also includes a confidential helpline for DWF’s people who are thinking of coming out at work.‎

Gail Taylor, Diversity and Community Engagement officer at DWF, said: “We are thrilled to have climbed a further 20 places this year to be ranked 36th in Stonewall’s exclusive Top 100. Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of DWF’s culture and embedded in the way we do business. This is testament to the work we are doing to create an inclusive workplace that respects and embraces diversity.”

Now in its 13th year, Stonewall’s Top 100 Employers is the definitive list which highlights the best performing employers on Stonewall’s Workplace Equality Index 2017, an annual audit of workplace culture for LGBT staff. This year Stonewall received 90,000 responses to the staff survey making it one of the largest national employment surveys in Britain, which included confidential questionnaires of 16,186 LGBT respondents.

Duncan Bradshaw, Director of Membership Programmes, Stonewall said: “DWF and all those who have made this year’s Top 100 Employers list have done a fantastic job, and really do put equality and inclusion at the forefront of their work. We were thrilled to have 439 submissions for this year’s Index, one of the most competitive yet, and I would like to thank each and every organisation that took part. With your continued efforts and hard work, we will continue to work toward a world where all lesbian, gay, bi and trans staff are welcomed and accepted without exception in their workplaces.”
