The Business Intelligence Team is at the core of all data analytics for DWF’s Clients and Internal Operations. This role is pivotal to ensure Clients, Client Partners and Operational Management have accurate, timely and insightful intelligence on Client Activity and Operational Performance, and to lead the stratification and commoditization of Business Intelligence.

Main function of role:

As Senior BI Analyst the main purpose of your role is to deliver a focused strategic service to External Clients and Internal Operations by developing insightful and challenging BI analytics.

To provide technical support and commercial leadership to a team of Client BI Analysts, managing the two Team leaders and championing a high performance culture

To provide a ‘centre of excellence’ service equipping management with the information and tools it needs to drive performance, complying with client and internal SLA's and driving continuous improvement in our data structure and compliance

  2. Liaison with: CEO's, Client Partners, External Clients, Internal Operational Heads, IT Development, Client Development

Main Duties:

Success in this role will mean relationship building, commercial insight, a deep and insightful understanding of the value analytics can bring to client and operational performance and the drive to 'get the basics' right in order to deliver the value add analytics

The current dominant business area for client analytics is within the Insurance division. The ability to understand and interpret the key driving factors within insurance claims, apply analytics to deliver insight into claim outcomes and share this knowledge with the BI client analysts are core deliverables

Manages the Client BI function and ensures the provision of quality MI on a timely basis to Clients and internal Stakeholders; translating the overall business objectives into clear deliverables for the Client BI team.

Act as the main point of contact for the CEOs and COOs for client analytics, work closely with them to support the strategic objectives for the business. Establish a highly credible and professional working relationship with PGPs, PAPs and Client Partners.

Demonstrate broad and insightful product knowledge of the service lines which the Client Analysts support, particularly the Insurance sector. Willingness and ability to develop own knowledge in areas where there may be gaps

Attendance at Client meetings supporting the Client Partner and championing the application of data analytics to develop and embed client relationships

Responsibility for production of scheduled client MI reports for a small portfolio of client's in order to understand and support the 'day job' of the BI client analysts

Support Tenders/Bids for all elements of BI provision. Collaboratively working alongside Partners and Clients to ensure bid submissions are professional and innovative.

Drive performance and ensure the integrity of all external client and internal operational reporting

Monitor team’s performance on a regular basis & highlight performance issues where applicable.

Mentor Analyst’s to deliver continuous improvement and innovation. Ongoing review of the skills and abilities of the team to ensure the optimum combination and output

Act as Subject Matter Expert and Trouble Shooter in response to client or internal challenges

Proactively work with the Senior Management to ensure that the BI function becomes embedded in the business and provides value adding and innovative BI solutions.

Challenge the way that we do things, act as a Change Agent - leverage the functionality of the BI and new systems to propose and implement changes to current processes.

Challenge the focus of Client Partners and Senior Management by uncovering insights into traditional KPI measures

Collaboratively work with the other members of the BI team to share knowledge and deliver a 360 Client, Operational and Financial Centre of Excellence to the business; identifying gaps and continual improvements in the reporting and insight provision.

Work with IT Development and Finance Systems to identify key improvements and changes that need to be made to 3e and Visual Files to ensure that the quality and delivery of Business Intelligence is continuously improved. Identification of innovative and integrated tools to create and deliver periodic and real time reporting
