As a DWF trainee, you’ll work with partners, directors and associates on complex, high value work. We are meritocratic, and you are recognised for the work you do, not your job title or how long you have been here. You may also have the opportunity to undertake a secondment with a client or rotate between our different offices.
Before you start your training contract with us, you will complete the LPC at our preferred provider, BPP. Provided that you haven’t already started the LPC at the point of offer, we will sponsor your fees for this qualification. To further enhance your knowledge, we would fund the LLM Commercial Legal Practice; a course tailored to the DWF training contract, which will enable you to complete a Master's qualification in addition to the LPC. In the year before your training contract starts, we will host a range of events with your fellow future trainees, so that you feel settled before you even start.
You’ll be provided with all the support you need to succeed, including a mix of practical day-to-day experience, training, and in-house lectures and workshops. You will be assigned a mentor who has been in your shoes and can share their experiences too.
Half way through your seat, you will meet with our training principal and a member of HR to discuss your progress and help you to decide which seat you want to join next. The two years will soon pass and you’ll be discussing your qualification with our training principal before you know it.
The support doesn’t all stop there...we have a dedicated team who will support you through the transition and through your first years as a qualified solicitor.
We are currently recruiting trainees into the following locations, for a 2022 start date:
