An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced individual to join our Corporate team based in Leeds dealing with Large Mergers and Acquisitions. You will work closely with the team on some interesting and career developing cases.
We are seeking to recruit a Corporate Solicitor to join our growing team based in Leeds. We are open to candidates with experience ranging from 1 to 4 years post qualification experience.
The successful candidate will demonstrate technical and commercial expertise together with the ability to deliver results within required time frames in order to provide the highest service level to external clients, whilst demonstrating and communicating a clear understanding of business needs/changes to internal clients.
We are seeking applications from candidates with a drive to succeed, and an enthusiasm to engage with clients at the outset. It is important that applicants have the ability to work as part of a team, in addition to being confident working under his/ her own initiative. Confidence in terms of presentation skills and client contact, and a real desire to develop their career at DWF is an important part of the role.
What will I be doing
Our Corporate team work on a range of matters including all aspects of corporate finance work, including flotations (on AIM and the Official List) and fundraisings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and MBO's.
Responsible to: Corporate Partner
Liaison with: Corporate & Commercial Practice Group, all levels of fee earner, business services, and clients.
What we are looking for
- Ability to deal with a range of corporate transactions
- Desire to develop both technical knowledge and business development skills
- Team Player
- Ability to communicate with Shareholders and Managing Directors
- Ideally 1-4 years PQE
- Generalist corporate experience
- Ideally with a background of corporate Mergers and Acquisitions
- Presentation skills.
