            Meet Jasmine James

            Paralegal, Jasmine James, on her first two months at DWF.

            Name: Jasmine James

            Job title: Paralegal – Occupation Health & Casualty

            Location: UK, Bristol;

            1. How has your employment journey led you to DWF?

            I begun my legal career as a Trainee Paralegal at Lyons Davidson Solicitors. I worked in the Claimant – Motor Personal Injury department. I dealt with MOJ claims which after 15 months of doing I felt I had gained as much out of the role as I could. I left Lyons Davidson Solicitors in November 2017 to travel the US for 2 months and begun my employment with DWF in Feb 2018.

            2. What is the best thing about working here?

            I enjoy the variety of work given to me at DWF. I am currently dealing with EL/PL and TPPD claims. I also enjoy the team that I work with who are constantly happy to provide help to anyone.

            3. What has been your proudest moment at DWF so far?

            As I came from a Claimant background I am proud that I have been able to adapt to the Defendant mind set fairly quickly. However I have only been employed here for 2 months and still have a lot to achieve within this role.

            4. What is different about working at DWF?

            I enjoy the relationships that we have with our clients and the brokers involved. It is interesting dealing with other companies rather than lay people which is what I have been used to.

            5. How has DWF offered to support your development?

            As I have only been in the role for 2 months I have not yet looked into this. However this is something I intend to do in the future as I look to qualify as a solicitor.

            6. How do you get involved with activities or projects that are outside of your role?

            I have not had the chance to join any social events/projects yet given the short amount of time I have been employed here.

            7. In three words, how would you describe DWF?

            Professional, Successful and Thriving.
