I joined DWF from Pinsent Masons, where I had qualified as a lawyer. Through previous roles and my experience as a lawyer, I developed an appetite to help transform how legal services are delivered to clients. 'Doing thing differently' is at the heart of DWF's strategy and I was delighted to join the team driving this agenda.
Being part of a fast-paced innovative legal business makes every day both exciting and challenging. Working with such a diverse range of colleagues and clients means that no two days are the same and keeps me on my toes.
Last year we launched DWF Ventures, a wholly owned research and development company for DWF which focusses on developing new ideas, prioritises specific research and development opportunities and nurtures early growth services.
Ventures is a really unique model in the legal market and I'm really proud to be part of the team and to be leading on many of the research and development priorities.
DWF is truly committed to 'doing things differently' and this leads to lots of exciting new opportunties, right across the business. This is really embedded into the culture of the firm through it's values and is encouraged from CEO level down.
The DWF Academy is a great platform, where on a monthly basis I complete a range of online and in-person courses, developing skills in areas from business development to IT training and legal training.
There is an opportunity to apply for study support to attend new courses, which is something I'll hopefully look to apply for in the future!
There are endless opportunities to get involved with CSR opportunities through the DWF Foundation as well as a whole range of sports and social events across each of the offices. The firm heavily uses Yammer, which makes it really easy to know what's going on and get involved.
Diverse, innovative, forward-thinking (is that 4?!)
