            Meet Ryan Rogers

Paralegal, Ryan Rogers, shares his experiences of working for the first time at a professional services firm.

            1. How has your employment journey led you to DWF?

I joined DWF after finishing my LPC, however was initially employed at Tesco on a part-time basis during my studies, so I did not have much experience working in an office environment. DWF is one of the leading law firms in the UK, so attracted immediate attention when I was applying for paralegal vacancies.

            2. What is the best thing about working here?

The progression opportunities at DWF are second to none. During my time at DWF, I have been given plenty of opportunity to expand my knowledge and develop my understanding on the insurance/occupational health sector.

            3. What has been your proudest moment at DWF so far?

The proudest moment at DWF so far has been raising money for the DWF Foundation through the zip-wire challenge and running the Manchester 10k run. I have also volunteered for the Foundation partaking in various activities and experiencing first-hand the great value that the Foundation offers to the wider community.

            4. What is different about working at DWF?

DWF has a very personable and friendly feel to the firm. I was made to feel welcome as soon as I started. My supervisors are experienced in what they do, and have taught me along the way.

            5. How has DWF offered to support your development?

DWF has supported my progression and development along the way. This has been made to happen through my supervisors, through both formal and informal training, in addition to various seminars hosted by barristers.

            6. How do you get involved with activities or projects that are outside of your role?

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with various activities, this can be either through the DWF Foundation, or sports and social events. I have recently been involved in the DWF team for the Lloyds of London annual rugby tournament, which was a great opportunity to network and meet co-workers from different offices.

            7. In three words, how would you describe DWF?

            Professional. Diverse. Knowledgeable.
