I remember when I was looking for a new opportunity, I was looking for a firm that was passionate about people, the community and one in which I could see opportunities for me to develop in my career and also as a person.

DWF has been a blessing to me. Although I have only been with the firm for just over six months, I have had the opportunity to take part in the CSR voluntary activities and get involved in planning Diversity Week activities.

I would say that two key events have greatly inspired my journey so far. The first being the International Women's day and the second being the just concluded DWF Diversity Week.

I was inspired not only by those that came to share their journeys but also the people behind the planning and organisation of these events. I was particularly encouraged to aim high. In attending these events and attentively listening, I was reminded that life is not a race, but rather a marathon to be enjoyed as you progress, not only in your work life but also in your character as a person.

The journeys of others have greatly motivated me within the business. I have learnt that each person's journey is different, and there is no one set way to succeed in what you desire to achieve. You have to be willing to work hard and go the extra mile.

Success indeed belongs to those who set their minds on it and won't take no for a final answer; these individuals choose to see beyond, recognise and seize opportunities all the while learning from others.

Lastly, I have learnt not to compare my journey to my colleagues because we can all be successful in our own lane. I have also learnt to celebrate individual as well as team successes within the workplace.
