Fifth partner appointment for DWF Singapore

Legal business DWF has appointed corporate partner Ben Constance to its Singapore office as the business continues to grow its presence in the Asia Pacific region. Ben joins from Taylor Wessing, where he headed the Dubai corporate team.

With over 15 years' experience at law firms in the Middle East, Asia and Australia, Ben brings extensive experience in international M&A, joint ventures, private equity and advising technology companies across the full company life cycle. At DWF, he will advise across a broad range of sectors, with a particular focus on technology, energy and financial services. His clients are typically US and multinational corporates, digital companies and financial investors undertaking business throughout SE Asia and the Middle East.

Ben has acted on a range of prominent M&A deals in the MENA and SE Asian region in recent years. Notably, he advised a Saudi sovereign wealth fund on its investment into a private UAE-based water desalination plant operator, as well as advising a global retail brand on a significant private placement and proposed NASDAQ Dubai listing. Ben was recently appointed to an advisory panel of NASDAQ Dubai to advise on updates to its listing rules, and he has also previously acted as a legal mentor to accelerator programs, 'Turn8' and 'InspireU' in Dubai.

Managing Partner of DWF Singapore, Oommen Mathew, commented: "Ben's expertise and experience in managing and negotiating complex corporate transactions and commercial agreements will be a significant advantage for our clients across the Asia Pac region.

Ben said: "With DWF’s increasing international footprint I look forward to joining the team and bringing my US market and technology sector expertise as DWF look to further strengthen their sector offering in the corporate market."

The Singapore team have a wide range of experience in international commercial arbitration, construction and infrastructure arbitration, investor-State arbitration, and State-to-State disputes. The team also frequently assist businesses and governments in the structuring of transactions, contract negotiation and review, and dispute resolution.
