DWF Biggart Baillie’s Edinburgh office names The Sick Kids Friends Foundation as charity of the year

The Edinburgh office of leading business law firm DWF Biggart Baillie has chosen The Sick Kids Friends Foundation (SKFF) as its charity of the year.

Working in partnership with the foundation until April 2014, DWF Biggart Baillie will contribute to the £1.5 million raised annually by SKFF, which goes towards the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, which treats over 100,000 children from all over the East of Scotland every year.

Will Guest, Corporate Fundraiser at SKFF, said: “The foundation provides vital funding that helps to support more than 100,000 children and their families every year. We would not be able to have such a positive impact on the lives of these people without our corporate partners, whose fundraising and volunteering activities are essential. We are really looking forward to working with the team at DWF Biggart Baillie and are excited to see what fundraising activities they have planned.”

David Gilchrist, Partner at DWF Biggart Baillie, added: “Many of our team here have personal connections with the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, so deciding to support SKFF was an easy decision. We have a number of fundraising events planned for 2013 and the whole office is looking forward to getting involved.”
