Leading business law firm DWF has invested in its national Litigation team with the appointment of commercial litigation and company law specialist, Andrew Harris.
As a former partner of DLA Piper’s litigation practice group, Andrew brings a wealth of experience to DWF, specialising in company law, corporate governance, boardroom and shareholder issues, schemes of arrangement and capital restructuring.
Andrew has previously advised on a range of large scale commercial litigation, including shareholder and corporate governance issues, fraud claims and interim relief, contractual issues, and professional negligence, representing public and private companies as well as partnerships, LLPs and other agencies, advising them on their rights and obligations and resolving any disputes between them.
Although based in Manchester and Leeds, Andrew will adopt a national role and support the UK wide team of commercial litigation specialists and company lawyers.
Graham Dagnall, national head of litigation at DWF, said: “We invest in the very best talent in legal services and we believe that Andrew, who is known for being able to turn difficult situations around to provide useful and practical solutions for clients, will bring added strength to our litigation team, on both a regional and national level.”
Andrew commented: “It is great to be joining DWF at such a dynamic time of strategic growth for the firm. It is establishing its place in the national market for quality commercial legal services, and I am looking forward to be joining a firm that is committed to delivering excellent service across the sectors in which it operates.”
This new development follows an exciting start to the year for DWF after the firm’s acquisition of Cobbetts in February.
