DWF scoops Best Major Project at The Lawyer Management Awards

Last night, national business law firm DWF was awarded Best Major Project at the inaugural The Lawyer Management Awards for its work following the acquisition of law firm Cobbetts, which operated across offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and London.

The awards ceremony saw DWF commended for its relocation of 742 people in just 24 days. The project included identifying and agreeing terms for the required real estate, connecting three locations’ data and migrating all services, such as IT, telecommunication and records management, to ensure clients were fully supported throughout the transition and client service delivery was not interrupted.

DWF beat off strong competition from Freshfield Bruckhaus Deringer and Weightmans at the awards ceremony which was held on 24 September at The Brewery in London.

Karl Warmbold, head of facilities and property at DWF, led the project and commented: “This is a fantastic result and the firm’s achievement is testament to the strength of our central services teams and the support of our people. A particular thanks goes to our colleagues who have joined us from Cobbetts. This award is not only in recognition of their support but of all of our people, suppliers and clients. Since the relocation we have experienced efficient integration; ensuring clients have continued to receive the best possible service.”

DWF was also a finalist in the Excellence in Training category
