National business law firm DWF has been shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year at the prestigious British Legal Awards.
The shortlisting follows a phenomenal year for DWF, in which the firm completed four strategic mergers and an acquisition, extended its national presence with new offices in Bristol, Dublin, Edinburgh and Glasgow, increased its revenue by 84.5 per cent to £188.2 million and boosted headcount by 58 per cent to almost 2500 people, which included a number of lateral hires from firms such as DLA Piper, Eversheds, Harbottle & Lewis, Hill Dickinson, Squire Sanders, and Wragge & Co.
Selected by the editorial team at Legal Week, DWF has been shortlisted against Ashurst, Bird & Bird, Freshfield Bruckhaus Deringer, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan and RPC.
Andrew Leaitherland, managing partner & CEO commented: "To support our phenomenal growth over the last 12-18 months we've invested significantly in our people, systems and client care programmes, and this shortlisting recognises the hard work and commitment of our people who have built DWF into the top 20 firm it is today."
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 28 November at Old Billingsgate Market, London.
