National business law firm DWF has been ranked second amongst all UK law firms for its training contract at the All About Law Awards, beating magic circle firms. DWF was also ranked third amongst all law firms for the best level of support provided on a training contract, in addition to being recognised as one of the top 20 law firms for vacation schemes.
Determined by employee satisfaction surveys the awards programme harnesses the views of first and second year trainees, in addition to first year newly qualified solicitors, on topics such as training, career progression, company culture, work-life balance, level of responsibility and job satisfaction.
With 95 trainee solicitors currently in place across DWF’s offices, the firm has grown its graduate trainee intake by 100 per cent in the last two years and 187 per cent over the last five years.
Kate Hasluck graduate and apprentice programme manager at DWF, said: “We aim to offer the best training programme in the industry here at DWF and strive to cultivate the best legal talent - being identified as one of the top two national law firms is great recognition of this. The development of our training initiatives is crucial in helping us to retain and develop the best talent and as a firm we are dedicated to establishing clear career development paths for all roles within the firm.”
