DWF Awarded International Information Security Standard

National business law firm DWF has been awarded the ISO27001 certification, the international standard of best practice for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).

The certification was granted following a robust audit by certification body SGS, to assess DWF's compliance with the ISO27001 criteria, focusing on the firm's ability to manage confidential corporate information to ensure it remains secure.

The ISO27001 standard is recognised globally as a benchmark for information security management and there are only 1,000 certificates in place around the world across a variety of large companies.

DWF has experienced significant growth over the last 12 months and has invested significantly to deliver market-leading information technology systems that facilitate the best service for clients.

Richard Hodkinson, chief technology officer at DWF, commented: "We are at the forefront with our technology and constantly looking for ways to improve our systems according to the latest industry standards. This accreditation confirms our efforts, particularly following a period of growth and transition for the firm."

Richard was recently recognised as one of the top 20 most influential and highly regarded technology professionals working in the UK legal profession in The CIO Power List by Legal Business magazine.
