DWF has been shortlisted for 'Large Law Firm of the Year' in the Manchester Legal Awards 2014 following a phenomenal growth period during which the firm has significantly outperformed the market delivering strong financial results; has secured major new clients; and has expanded its operations in Manchester and across the UK.
DWF is the UK's fastest growing law firm and during the last 12-18 months has transformed itself into a top 20 national law firm through a series of four mergers and the acquisition of Manchester firm Cobbetts helping secure 490 jobs. The firm has delivered a very strong half year performance achieving 57.5% year-on-year growth, including 10% organic growth. The firm announced a half year turnover figure of £93.6 million up from £59.4 million this time last year, exceeding its target and putting the firm on track to achieve its year end budget.
DWF, which has the majority of its people based in Manchester and plays a strong role within the North West business community, has recently been independently ranked 1st of all top 20 UK law firms for the quality of its legal advice in an independent survey of senior decision-makers at FTSE 100, 350, AIM and the UK's 100 largest privately owned businesses. The firm was also ranked in joint first place of all national firms for service delivery and responsiveness.

DWF is up against DLA Piper, Eversheds and Slater & Gordon at the awards, which are held in conjunction with Manchester Law Society and Manchester Evening News. The results will be announced on 6th March.
