On 6 February 2014 DWF Leeds Young Professionals hosted a seminar entitled "Effectively Marketing Yourself" for local Young Professionals. The event took place at the DWF Leeds office in Bridgewater Place and was attended by over 60 people from a diverse range of organisations encompassing members of the financial, real estate, construction, banking, local government and corporate sectors.
The objective of the seminar was to provide a forum for junior and mid-level professionals from across the region to develop new skills in a friendly and informal environment and to have the opportunity to ask questions of someone who has a wealth of experience in business development roles.
Commenting on the event, David Cowgill, chair of the DWF Leeds Young Professionals group, said: "The seminar was very positively received by those who attended. Clifton's wealth of experience and willingness to illustrate his points with examples of personal challenges from his own career encouraged a relaxed and lively atmosphere in which people felt free to ask questions and engage in debate over the best ways to promote your own career. It was fantastic to see so many people in attendance from a variety of businesses across the city, this is the second year in which we have hosted a seminar and intend to continue to contribute to the regional Young Professionals Community in this way in the future."
DWF Young Professionals host events throughout the year to provide networking opportunities for the future leaders of Yorkshire.
