Last night, in recognition of the firm's outstanding leadership and operational management, top 20 law firm DWF picked up two prestigious practice management awards – 'Best Managed National Firm' and 'Best Financial Management' – at the Managing Partners' Forum Awards for Management Excellence 2014.
Held in association with The Harvard Business Review, The Financial Times and Google Enterprise, the MPF Awards recognise management excellence in professional services firms across Europe.
Awarded Best Managed National Firm, DWF was commended for its strong leadership, clear coherent business strategy and effective operational management which has helped engage and motivate DWF's people to deliver a strong financial performance. The firm has climbed 13 places in the top 100 rankings to become a top 20 law firm two years ahead of schedule and has been ranked first of all top 20 law firms for the quality of its legal advice in an independent client satisfaction report.
Awarded Best Financial Management, DWF was commended for delivering exceptional financial results through strong people engagement in financial KPIs, effective budgeting and forecasting, new financial measures and controls, automating financial processes, and superior working capital management, enabling the firm to invest in its people and client service to progress its strategic vision. DWF delivered strong half year results achieving 57.5% year-on-year growth including 10% organic growth.

DWF beat off stiff competition from major professional services firms across Europe at the awards, which were held at the Marriott Grosvenor Square, London.
