Love, Love Liverpool Do

2014 will be another exciting year for Liverpool not least because it will be hosting the 61 day International Festival for Business (IFB)projected to bring £100 million of investment to the UK and 250,000 additional visitors to the northern city. A major highlight of the IFB, will be the World Corporate Games allowing businesses to compete in an array of sports including football, netball, golf, badminton, dragon boat racing and even poker!

So what else is happening in Liverpool?

From 3-5 April, the world (and media) will descend upon Aintree Racecourse for the three of the biggest days in the British sporting calendar; the Grand Opening, Ladies’ Day and of course the Grand National.

Runners will be tested in the inaugural Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathon and ½ Marathon on Sunday May 25 but supported with live bands performing at each mile of the route culminating in celebrations at the finish line with a post-race concert.

Music lovers will be able to experience over 300 artists across 25 venues during the 3 day festival Sound City’

After ten years’ planning and two years’ construction, Liverpool’s Everyman Theatre opens its doors to begin the next chapter with plays including Shakespeare’s tale of Twelfth Night and Joseph Heller’s Catch 22.

In July, the Giants from France’s street theatre, Royal de Luxe, will be returning to the city for what will be the UK’s flagship event to commemorate the centenary of World War I.
