Our summer vacation scheme

You don’t always get the feel of a firm just from visiting the office for an interview. You need to live and breathe it.  What better way is there to help you get to know us, as well as giving you the best possible start for your career, than to give you the opportunity to gain a real insight into one of the largest national firms and to experience life as one of our trainees. The only way to really understand what makes our firm different, our culture and the work we do, is to experience it for yourself.

Our two week schemes are run in the majority of our offices and are ‘jam packed’ with time spent across two of our practice areas. You’ll work with partners, associates and our trainees on live matters and be given responsibility straight from the start. It’s not just listening about what we do for our clients; it’s about actually doing it.

You’ll attend a variety of internal workshops with other practice groups, meeting our people and understanding what they do. You’ll also take part in a practical group project which is dedicated to your professional development.

To guide you through your two weeks, we’ve created a support network. Which includes supervisors in your practice areas and a trainee buddies. The graduate recruitment team will also be on hand to offer any advice and support.

There is also a range of social events to help you get to know one another better and to meet other people from across the firm. There’s a dinner with the partners and drinks with trainees, amongst the other activities. You’ll be given the chance to develop your own professional network and build lasting relationships.
