DWF has been shortlisted for two individual awards at this year’s UK Diversity Legal Awards, which recognise the individuals and companies who have demonstrated a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion across the legal sector. Mary-Ann Wright, partner at DWF, and Paul Maddock, solicitor at DWF, have both been recognised for their outstanding contributions to diversity.
As a finalist in the Diversity Champion Category, Mary-Ann is recognised for her work as Chair of the Law Society’s Women Lawyers Division, which offers support, networking and advice for women solicitors and helps them to fulfil career ambitions.
Paul Maddock is recognised in the BSN Rising Star category for his contribution to LGBT equality as chair of DWF’s Out Front Network, a networking group within DWF that works to increase awareness and understanding and provide support for LGBT colleagues.

Mary-Ann and Paul are two outstanding examples of the great work our people are doing both within DWF and throughout the legal profession, and we are thrilled to see them recognised in these awards.”
The awards will be announced on 18 November in a ceremony at London’s Grange Tower Bridge hotel, where Mary-Ann and Paul are shortlisted against individuals from Doughty Street Chambers, Herbert Smith, Pinsent Masons and Roche UK & Ireland.
The shortlisting follows the recent announcement of DWF as one the ‘Most Innovative Law firms in Diversity’ in the Financial Times Innovative Lawyer Report 2014.
