DWF was awarded ‘Management Team of the Year’ at last night’s The Lawyer Management Awards in recognition of the firm’s successful operational management. The awards, hosted by legal magazine The Lawyer, recognise the law firms that have demonstrated the highest levels of operational excellence and innovation across all business management areas.
The Lawyer magazine, which hosted the awards, cited that DWF had excelled across all operational areas which include business and client development, facilities, finance, HR, knowledge management, IT, and risk and compliance. The magazine stated that “DWF’s rapid expansion and willingness to embrace the new opportunities in the UK legal market scooped it Management Team of the Year…The award was the culmination of a good night for the…firm, which was shortlisted in three other categories. Judges cited the leadership of managing partner Andrew Leaitherland and the rest of DWF’s “outstanding” management team, including chief technology officer Richard Hodkinson as the driving force behind the firm’s recent success.”
This year has seen DWF make a number of strategic investments in order to drive efficiency, support the firm’s expansion and deliver operational improvements across the firm’s 12 offices in the UK and Ireland. As well as a £12million investment in technology the firm has launched a broad range of new initiatives to enhance and reward the performance of its people.
Andrew Leaitherland, Managing Partner and CEO at DWF, commented: “We are thrilled to have been recognised for operational excellence. This award reflects the significant progress we’re making as a business and the importance and impact of our high performing management teams. We are committed to taking an innovative approach to driving efficiencies throughout the business and enhancing client service delivery, and it is fantastic to see these initiatives being recognised.”
Last night’s award win follows DWF’s recent recognition by the Financial Times as one of Europe’s 50 most innovative law firms.
