National business law firm DWF has recruited litigation partner Stefan Paciorek as part of the continued expansion of its City and international litigation practice. Stefan will join from Pinsent Masons where he was former head of commercial litigation in London.
Stefan brings to DWF over 20 years’ experience in international dispute resolution, having joined legacy firm Masons in 1997 and made partner in 2001. His practice focuses on the technology and energy sectors, primarily involving multi-jurisdictional disputes resolved through international arbitration, in addition to the renegotiation of complex distressed projects. Stefan has acted for major corporations, governments and not for profit organisations as well as prominent individuals, often in high profile disputes, across the world. Most recently, Stefan has advised on the high profile dispute between Fujitsu and the NHS relating to the £1billion contract to computerise medical records across the South of England.
Graham Dagnall, Head of Litigation at DWF, commented: “Stefan’s in-depth international litigation experience ensures that he will be a key addition to our national commercial litigation team, and his expertise in the technology and energy sectors will help enhance the team’s capability, driving forward the growth of our City practice as we support clients across our chosen industry sectors.”
Stefan’s appointment follows the recent hire of partner Alan Owens, who joined DWF’s 70-strong national commercial litigation team in September from the London office of US firm Morrison & Foerster. Stefan will join DWF in January 2015.
