Andrew Leaitherland was named Managing Partner of the Year at the Legal Business Awards 2014 and the firm was awarded ‘Best Management Team’ at the recent The Lawyer Management Awards.
Alan Benzie, chairman at DWF, commented: “DWF has achieved a phenomenal amount in the last decade under Andrew’s strong leadership. We’ve made a number of strategic investments, in terms of our people, premises and technology, and the firm has a strong platform upon which we will continue to develop our people and our offering to support our clients in our chosen markets. It is with the full support of the board that Andrew will remain in post to take us forward as we continue to grow and strengthen the business.”
Andrew continued: “As managing partner & CEO my role is one of an enabler and it’s my responsibility, working with the senior management team and people across the business, to ensure that our business is geared to delivering client service excellence as efficiently, effectively and as innovatively as possible. The firm’s successes to date could have not been achieved without the incredible hard work of our people and continued support of our clients, and it’s an honour and a privilege to be able to continue in this role to deliver the firm’s vision going forward. We think there’s a big opportunity to do things differently and to change clients’ views of how astute legal services delivered in a different way can benefit their business. Our visionis to be the legal business where our expertise, industry knowledge and leading-edge technologies converge, enabling our clients to go further.”
Andrew will commence his fourth successive term in January 2015.
