DWF has achieved Silver and Bronze standards for gender and race diversity in a survey conducted by Business in the Community (BITC).
This was DWF’s first year participating in the survey, which was developed by BITC as a confidential diversity assessment tool for to provide participants with sector specific performance data, constructive feedback and specific action plans around their diversity and inclusion agendas.
114 UK employers, representing the views of over 1.6 million people, participated in this year’s survey, which is jointly run by BITC’s Opportunity Now campaign, which empowers employees to accelerate change for women in the workplace and the Race for Opportunity campaign, which helps businesses to improve employment opportunities for ethnic minorities.
Ty Jones, Director of CSR & Engagement at DWF, commented on the results: “We are determined to create an inclusive culture where diversity is valued and is a visible part of the way we do business. This requires authentic behaviour and clear values that engage our people as well as being able to evidence how being both diverse and inclusive improves business performance. By taking part in this survey we are able to target areas to further improve our performance and reinforce our leadership commitment to improve diversity at all levels.”
In recent months, DWF has been recognised as a Top Performer for working families and has improved its performance in this year’s Black Solicitors Network Diversity League Table.
