DWF strengthen pensions practice with key appointment

National legal business DWF has strengthened its pensions practice with the appointment of Squire Patton Boggs’ Sinead Sheehan.

Sinead joins DWF’s Manchester office as a senior associate and will advise employers, trustees and government bodies on both contentious and non-contentious pensions matters.

DWF’s 16-strong national pensions practice, led by partner Tim Green, has an enviable client portfolio with a number of high-profile clients such as Morrisons plc and Bacardi-Martini Limited, which has been further enhanced following the team’s appointment to the Pension Protection Fund scheme assessment legal panel.

Tim Green, pensions partner at DWF, said: “Sinead is highly regarded within the pensions industry and joins the team at an exciting time. Through strategic investment, we continue to enhance our offering and we’re actively recruiting at a senior level to further broaden and deepen our pensions expertise following a series of high profile client wins. Sinead brings a wealth of experience and it is great to have her on board.”

Sinead commented on her appointment: “I’m delighted to be joining DWF, particularly at a time when the firm is making key investments to enhance its pensions capabilities.  I look forward to working with Tim and the team to further develop our offering to clients.”
