National legal business DWF has launched 15squared, a new venture focusing solely on developing innovative, technology-driven solutions to support new and existing clients. A wholly owned subsidiary of DWF, 15squared will offer clients customised solutions which complement their existing support systems and which drive efficiency and mitigate risk. DWF recently announced the launch of a new range of flexible service delivery models, including a centralised legal support centre and a contract lawyer service, along with a consultancy offering which helps clients develop their own in-house teams. 15squared marks the next phase in the expansion and diversification of DWF’s services.
15squared is borne out of Claimbase, a company acquired through the firm’s merger with Fishburns and which was named after its sole product offering, a cloud-based software platform designed to support large insurers with volume claims. As well as the Claimbase solution, 15squared is launching a range of new products. These include DWF Pinpoint, a software application that provides a secure online repository for documents and data, to help clients save time and money managing their asset portfolios through live status updates, data reporting and visual representation of assets, and DWF Notify, an incident notification app that provides an instant and secure way to communicate alerts throughout an organisation and which builds on DWF’s award-winning Crisis Response service.
15squared will be led by DWF’s Chief Technology Officer Richard Hodkinson, who will serve as its Chairman with support from a full sales, marketing and operations team. Richard Hodkinson commented, “15squared has been launched in direct response to changes in client demand, which is for more tailored, technology-driven services that help them do business. DWF has built a reputation as being at the forefront of innovation and has invested heavily in its in-house technology in order to deliver legal services differently, and the launch of 15squared as an independent entity allows us to focus on identifying market needs and bringing these services to DWF’s clients and the wider market with greater efficiency and value than ever before.”
DWF has been widely recognised for its commitment to technology and innovation. The firm was recently recognised as Legal Innovator of the Year at the 2015 Legal Business Awards, won the ‘Law Firm Innovation’ Award at the British Legal Awards and is recognised as one of Europe’s Top 50 Most Innovative Law Firms by the Financial Times. DWF’s Chief Technology Officer Richard Hodkinson was recently ranked one of the UK’s Top 50 CIOs by CIO magazine for the third consecutive year.
