National legal business DWF has been independently ranked as one of the Top Employers for Working Families. The research, conducted by the charity Working Families, benchmarked employers on flexible and family friendly working policies and practices, and saw DWF ranked in the top 10 alongside leading organisations, such as American Express, Centrica, Deloitte and the Ministry of Justice.
DWF is the only law firm to make the top 10 following ongoing investment to implement a number of initiatives to support its people, which include enhancing its workstyle policy to encourage agile, flexible, home and mobile working; investing £12 million in technology to provide a flexible working environment for its people; introducing collaborative communication tools such as Yammer and the instant messenger Lync; and running a working families network as part of its partner-led diversity steering group.
The firm has also undertaken research, in association with the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion, into key personality types suited to agile working to better understand the needs of its workforce.
Tyrone Jones, director of CSR and engagement at DWF, said: “We continue to work hard to support the changing needs of our people – implementing a flexible culture, investing in key technology to enable change and implementing new ways of working to ensure excellent service for clients and a work-life balance for our people.
“We are proud to be the only law firm named in the top 10 for employers for working families. It’s not only fantastic recognition of our progress, but it consolidates our position at the forefront of delivering legal services differently to better support our people and clients.”
