Leading legal business DWF has advised the AIM listed company SKIL Ports & Logistics Ltd in relation to a fundraising of up to £37.6 million.

The firm’s London-based corporate team advised on the placing, open offer and subscriptions which are expected to enable the company to continue the construction and build-out of a multi-purpose port and logistics park in the Karanja Creek region of India, near to Mumbai. It is forecast that the port will be capable of receiving vessels by the end of this year and be fully operational by the end of the third quarter of 2017.

The DWF team advising on the deal was led by partner and Head of Corporate in London Matthew Doughty along with associate Jemil Visram and solicitor Sophie Morris.

Matthew Doughty comments: “ We are very happy with the success of the fundraise and the great result achieved for SKIL Ports & Logistics.  We’re pleased that we were once again able to showcase our ability to advise AIM-listed clients on a regular basis, which we expect to increase the more the market recognises the investment the firm is making to its London-based corporate team.”

DWF’s 180-strong national corporate practice is consistently ranked one of the most active in the UK by deal volume.
