DWF described by clients as ‘incredibly diligent and commercial’ in Chambers & Partners UK 2017

Leading legal business DWF, which has offices in 12 key regions across the UK, has secured 62 practice area rankings in the Chambers & Partners 2017 Guide, an independent guide to the UK legal market. Clients describe the firm as ‘incredibly diligent and commercial’ that takes a ‘common sense approach’ and ‘understands the market’.

DWF secured five band 1 rankings, including personal injury, UK-wide; rail, Scotland; and a new band 1 ranking for litigation North West in the annual publication, which ranks UK firms by practice areas and individuals as determined by extensive, independent market research and client and peer feedback.

The firm’s sector approach to business across its chosen key industries, including central & local government; energy & industrials; financial services; real estate; retail, food & hospitality; technology and transport, is reflected in strong results for its insurance, financial services and transport teams, where the firm acts for clients such as Aviva, Expedia, Royal Bank of Scotland and Virgin Trains.

DWF’s continued strategic investment in key lateral hires has resulted in improved rankings across four practice areas, including Banking & Finance, North West; Professional Negligence, South West; and Restructuring Yorkshire. Additionally, DWF secured two new rankings this year in Road Regulatory, UK-wide and Sport, Scotland, recognising the teams’ strength and growing reputation.

The guide also identifies recommended lawyers and star associates in the legal market and this year 117 of DWF’s people were recognised across 126 practice areas.
