DWF shortlisted for Adviser of the Year in City insurance awards

Legal business DWF has been shortlisted in this year’s Insurance Day London Market Awards in recognition of its one-stop service to insurers, cost-effective pricing models and innovative product development.

The awards acknowledge and celebrate the excellence and achievements of advisers and firms across the London insurance market and this year DWF has been shortlisted for Adviser of the Year in recognition of its specialist expertise and innovative approach to service delivery, which has led the firm to advising on numerous high-profile cases across the insurance industry this year.

The firm’s circa 900-strong insurance team is a market-leader in helping clients and industry bodies navigate challenging, industry-wide issues and has advised major trade and government associations on some of the most significant marine and environmental issues facing the industry, including work related to global warming and the development of the Polar Code, the UK Energy Act and the Nairobi Wreck Removal Convention. DWF also advises a number of leading national insurers, including Aviva, RSA, Travellers and Zurich, on a wide range of insurance matters and is an industry leader in developing data-led counter fraud solutions for clients.

DWF has continued to invest in enhancing its insurance capability and has significantly enhanced its service offering this year following the merger with niche insurance law firm Fox Hartley and has attracted a number of key lateral hires, including Head of Casualty and General Insurance in Scotland Andrew Lothian from Anderson Strathern, new Head of Financial Risk Jacky Cattini from HSBC and Head of Counter Fraud in Scotland Jill Sinclair.
