We are pleased to invite you to our In-House Counsel seminar.
The topic of this seminar is:
The power of influence
How can you get your voice heard, especially when your message may not be welcome? How can you optimise the chance of your advice being followed?
In-house lawyers juggle different roles, from corporate administrator, to deal facilitator, to guardian of the moral conscience of a company.
The success of each of these roles depends on an ability to influence others. Legal training may well have honed adversarial skills of argument. But, just as there are different roles, so there are different skills to draw upon to get your voice heard and your advice followed.
Drawing on real examples from in-house life, our guest speaker Stewart Brown, who has 18 years of experience as a solictor in private practice and in house in the legal departments of top-tier international investment banks, will examine different models of influence to explore:
- Who are you trying to influence?
- What approach are you using?
- What alternative approaches exist?
This event is one of a series that DWF will host during 2016 to support the in house teams of our clients.
