StartUp Grind hosts Nick Hungerford CEO of Nutmeg

London recently became the world's largest centre for fin-tech. It is time to talk to founding CEO of one of London's fin-tech pioneers and a London-based unicorn: Nutmeg.

Nick is the founding CEO of Nutmeg. He says: "I left my job as a stockbroker to start Nutmeg because I was frustrated by the exclusivity and lack of transparency in the investment world — and I knew I was not the only one".

Following a business degree at Exeter University, Nick worked at Barclays in the areas of product, banking and wealth management. He was a Divisional Director at Brewin Dolphin and has an MBA from Stanford University.

Nick has been a guest lecturer at academic institutions including Harvard, Stanford and London Business School and has represented UKTI around the world, promoting the benefits of doing business in Britain. He's a non executive Director at Innovate Finance, the movement helping highlight the need for customer-orientated progression in financial services, and sits on the FCA's Financial Advice Markets Review expert advisory panel.
