New measure will enable HMRC to disclose records of deceased victims without a court order

Whilst giving evidence to the Justice Select Committee’s mesothelioma inquiry earlier this week, Minister of State for Civil Justice, Lord Faulks QC indicated that the MOJ had secured “cross-government clearance” to enable HMRC to restore their previous practice of disclosing employment records of deceased victims of mesothelioma to their families or representatives without the need for a court order.
