Higher fines for many food and trading law offences in prospect

The Ministry of Justice has highlighted on 12 March that provisions in the Legal Aid Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 come into force. The new law removes the £5000 fine limit in the Magistrates Courts for ‘Level 5’ offences.
