ASA rules against price establishment: Despite clearance by Clearcast, the Advertising Standards Authority has upheld a complaint about a TV advert for DSG where a £90 reduction is claimed from a price stated on screen to have applied between specified dates. On investigation the ASA considered that despite the stated period on screen, the higher price was not the ‘usual selling price’ for the product.
