Revised safety advice on raw and partially cooked eggs: Following a report by the Advisory Committee on the Microbiological Safety of Food, the Food Standards Agency in consulting on revised advice to indicate that all population groups are safe to consume raw or partially cooked egg and egg products with production subject to the Lion mark or similar quality schemes. ‘Best before end’ date coding guidance to be revised: The Food Standards Agency in conjunction with DEFRA and WRAP has announced it is to review its guidance around the use of best before date coding. Revised guidance will be issued by July 2017, with the aim of minimising food waste. View >
