ASA substantiation held inadequate: The ASA has upheld a complaint regarding a claim ‘The Best Pizzeria Taste at Home’ by Dr Oetker. Whilst limited customer research had been undertaken, this was judged inadequate to support the claim. View »

Use of online reviews and endorsements in spotlight: The Competition and Markets Authority has securted undertakings from a business over undisclosed paid advertising and inappropriate use of online reviews and endorsements. The CMA has issued a revised open letter to marketing professionals and online retailers. View »

High test purchase failure rate: The Chartered Trading Standards Institute has published a report showing an average 40% failure rate in test purchasing for underage sale of E-cigarette/vaporisers, in a national test purchasing campaign funded by the Department of Health. View »
