I co-ordinate our team of national charity experts focusing exclusively on the charity, social enterprise and not for profit sector. Our team operates nationally providing specialist and tailored services to more than 350 charities, ranging from small trusts to national organisations.

My experience includes:

  • Advising on powers, duties and responsibilities of charity trustees including decision-making, effective delegation and managing conflicts of interest.
  • Interpreting governing documents re vires queries and advising on amendments where necessary, including liaison with the Charity Commission in relation to “regulated alterations” and other regulators where relevant.
  • Presenting bespoke training sessions and facilitating board effectiveness and strategy workshops.
  • Advising on social enterprise legal structures such as community interest companies as well as the use of wholly owned trading subsidiary companies of charities.

I am a trustee for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
