I am widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading defendant personal injury specialists, with a niche expertise in advising insurers on high profile catastrophic injury and large loss cases, including those with cross-border claims issues.
I act for a number of the leading UK and European insurers, across the entire spectrum of catastrophic injury and large loss claims, in particular those arising out of motor claims, employers’ liability and product liability claims. I am regularly instructed in some of the largest catastrophic injury and complex cross-border claims in the London and European insurance markets. I have led approximately 50 claims with a value in excess of £1 million, over the last five years, and numerous claims over £10 million. I have handled some of the most high profile and market-leading cases, including those with high media coverage, for my insurance clients.
In addition to my case work, I sit on DWF's Client Development Executive, International Strategy Group and Insurance Sector Group and am Client Partner for 2 of the firm's largest clients.
I was one of two founding Partners who set up DWF’s London office in July 2008 and am proud to have been part of the growth of that office to 350 people since that time, now based in the iconic "Walkie Talkie" building at 20 Fenchurch Street.
Prior to joining DWF, I worked for a number of major City firms. I am a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and am one of a relatively small number of female members of the Worshipful Company of Insurers, the insurance industry’s City Livery Company.
In 2011 I won the prestigious Woman of Achievement Award for the Insurance category in the Women in the City Awards 2011, sponsored by The Chartered Insurance Institute, being named one of 7 top female executives working in the City of London.
