I have extensive experience of providing clear, practical advice to employers (in private, public and the third sector), trustees of pension arrangements, institutions and individuals in connection with a wide range pensions issues.
I also support my corporate and commercial colleagues - covering off the pensions aspects of take-overs, mergers, acquisitions and sales of employers/business transfers (including the outsourcing of services). In addition I regularly advise on the pensions aspects of insolvency and pensions-related contentious matters, as well as reporting on and preparing pension scheme documentation and interpreting statutory provisions governing pensions. I’m a regular contributor and speaker on pensions law topics and accredited by The Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in pensions law.
In addition to my pensions specialism, within DWF, I am a Director of Moat Pensions Ltd, a company providing independent trustee services. Through Moat Pensions Limited I have, for over two decades, provided independent trustee services to a variety of pension schemes and have broad experience of the PPF and Financial Assistance Scheme.
