I work closely with insurance clients and self-insureds, devising strategies for minimising exposure to credit hire fraud via intervention, litigation strategies and best practice.
My role combines managing a team of specialist credit hire lawyers, as well as handling cases myself, and undertaking settlement negotiations with Credit Hire Organisations, on behalf of clients. To support this and take a proactive approach to risk management, I have devised the DWF Credit Hire Healthcheck, which is offered free to insurers.
I spend time understanding the documented process and then sit with handlers from FNOL all the way through to litigation. At this point I provide feedback as to whether the documented process matches the reality and where improvements can be made. This provides clear direction as to the processes that need to be put into place. This process can be supplemented by tailored training on these key issues, with the aim of minimising exposure to claims for credit hire.
I am also responsible for the provision of credit hire services out of all offices.
