I have worked at all levels in the public and private sectors dealing with contract disputes, shareholder disputes, procurement challenges, judicial review and public law challenges, professional negligence and director disqualification.
I have considerable expertise and experience of disputes involving company law and insolvency issues (breach of fiduciary duties and restrictive covenants, warranty claims and shareholder disputes), contractual disputes and professional negligence claims and I specialise in procurement and public law challenges.
Recently, Leeds City Council hired me to defend proceedings brought against them for the termination of the developer competition in respect of Leeds Arena. The claimant alleged breaches of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 and the tort of deceit, valuing its claim in excess of £40million. The case culminated in the Council defeating the claims in their entirety: Montpellier Estates Limited v Leeds City Council (2013)
