I am experienced in a broad range of litigation and take a pragmatic approach to resolving disputes, including those relating to contracts, real estate, intellectual property and media, privacy, defamation, product liability and nuisance.
My experience spans real estate litigation (acting for landlords, tenants and property developers), intellectual property disputes (acting in disputes over design rights, patents and copyright for clients in California and Hong Kong) and media disputes involving defamation and privacy matters.
I currently act for eminent multi-national companies in the retail sector, in their real estate disputes as well as a number of blue chip multi-national companies in relation to manufacturing disputes. I am instructed by sole traders through to large financial services companies in respect of debt recovery matters.
My contractual dispute experience includes international matters involving multiple jurisdictions (e.g. USA, Hong Kong, Ireland, EU). Within this I have successfully acted for a global corporation based in the US that manufactures commercial jet airline engines in a multi-jurisdictional dispute involving the cost of repairs to aero engines which had cost many millions of dollars; for a Californian manufacturer of diving helmets in a dispute with a former authorised agent involving design, patent and copyright infringements; for the owner of copyrighted musical works based in Hong Kong which was suing the owner of a website over the unlawful use and licensing of their works and for a processor of raw materials in a contractual dispute with an energy company in Ireland.
