Prior to moving in to a full time management role, I specialised in large and catastrophic personal injury work for insurers. I now manage three practice groups that act for a variety of insurers, adjusters, brokers and corporate clients on a wide range of insurance issues.
I head up DWF's nationwide insurance team and sit on the strategic board. I joined a team of five in 1989 and the now 1000 strong insurance team has grown to be one of the largest legal teams in the UK. This has been achieved through the development of long standing relationships with some of the UK's largest insurers and claims organisations, including Ageas, Allianz, Aviva, Chubb, LV, QBE, RSA, Travelers and Zurich.
My primary role is to support and challenge our client partners to not only deliver a first class service and results to clients, but also to ensure that our team has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the insurance sector so we can enable our clients to be a step ahead. A deep understanding of our client’s business objectives is crucial so that we can consistently support them and add value.
Although my roots are in the motor and casualty market, I also take an active role with our Professional Indemnity and Real Estate teams and am proud of the market leading offering that we have developed.
Outside of the office I enjoy a round of golf and am a Liverpool FC season ticket holder.
