I like to get “under the skin” of my clients' businesses to understand their needs and help them achieve best practice levels of compliance regarding the safety for their workers (and others).
My transport expertise covers operator licensing, transport compliance issues, Public Inquiries, auditing, clandestine entrants/vehicle seizures/smuggling, due diligence, training and advocacy (Magistrates' Court and Public Inquiries).
I also represent companies and individuals facing CPS/HSE prosecutions following serious incidents, I have acted on numerous fatal incident investigations and have experience of gross negligence & corporate manslaughter cases. I was part of the team that secured the first ever acquittal in a corporate manslaughter prosecution (R v PS & JE Ward). On behalf of my clients, I also deal with accident investigations, PACE and employee interviews, and act as advocate at Coroner’s Inquests and within the Magistrates’ Court. I am a notable practitioner for road transport regulatory law.
My clients praise my “clear grasp of the everyday issues faced by the haulage industry” (Chambers and Partners).
